Our ultimate goal is to develop affordable and eco-friendly homes. We combine Hirsch Maschinenbau’s engineering and processing expertise in expanded polystyrene (EPS) technology with insulated concrete form (ICF) building systems.
Partners will be able to operate in a “green” construction field emphasizing energy conservation principles associated with the above mentioned technologies.

Green Desert is founded and registered in Madeira by Kurt Gustav Hirsch, who has 48 years of experience in EPS technology.
I have been active in the EPS (Styrofoam) Business since 1972

The HIRSCH Satellite Plant is a mobile EPS Processing Plant to manufacture insulating concrete.
If operated in three shifts, the mobile plant has an annual production capacity of some two million ICFs, which can be used to build 1,000 to 2,000 family homes on average.
Turnkey delivery and project-related relocation to any site required are posssible within four weeks (without transit time).

ICF Building Process
For design and construction, it’s hard to find an easier system than ICFs: hollow foam blocks or panels are stacked into the shape of the walls of a building.
The forms are filled with steel-reinforced concrete to form a solid structure, sandwiching a heavy, high-strength material between two layers of light, high-insulation foam.
The resulting walls are air-tight, strong, quiet, highly insulated, pest and fire resistant, and durable in the face of even the harshest weather.
The forms can be installed quickly and easily using common construction tools and equipment.
The industry’s wide variety of manufacturers, shapes, and sizes makes it easy to custom design smaller commercial structures.
ICFs are commonly used for industrial buildings, hotels, business parks, government facilities, schools, churches, shopping centers, and warehouses.
